Things have been so, so busy around these parts! First of all, I had one of the biggest surprises of my life when my dear friend Crystal flew in from California to visit me last week. Below is a video of the moment she surprised me as captured by my sneaky Hubby's iPad (please excuse my makeup-less face and high-pitched squealing). It was so great having her here; I ended up getting sick for the majority of her visit but she was of course so sweet and gracious, taking care of the kids so that I could rest and sleep and helping to clean up the house, etc. I love you dear Crystal! Come back soon!
Then we had a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Tara. I can't believe that the baby is coming in just a couple more months, we are all so excited!
Since they are waiting until birth to find out if the baby is a boy or girl, we went with a classic black and white color scheme.
We did an Afternoon Tea-type of menu. A lot of the guests were so kind in bringing a dish to contribute so that was fun trying everyone's goodies.
The savory table.
Tara has been craving cheese in a big way during her pregnancy so the plethora of cheese was appropriate:)
Two other preggo ladies - I'm telling you, something is in the water around here!
It was so much fun for me to refinish this rocking chair for her. Hoping she'll have plenty of sweet cuddle times with the baby in it.
We had each guest pose with Tara with their guess of the baby's gender with these great props and signs that Ive made. Thanks so much Ive!
Here's T with her Mom.

Looks like the majority is going with girl!
These went into the goody bags, I did the orange curl in honor of Mark:)
She likes it!
All three conspirators behind the shower with the Prego Lady herself.
Joining the ranks - T and her Mommies!
Mark came at the end; here are their guesses. Can't wait to meet the little Mr. or Miss!
